2. Hosting & Server Log Files

This website is hosted on a private server (VPS). The web server (Caddy) automatically collects technical access data in so-called server log files. This includes:

  • IP address of the requesting computer (anonymized)
  • Date and time of access
  • Requested URL
  • HTTP status code and data volume transferred
  • Referring URL (page from which access was made)
  • Browser type and operating system

This data is stored exclusively to ensure technical operation and is automatically deleted after a maximum of 7 days. It is not linked to personal data. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest).

3. Fonts

This website uses Google Fonts and custom fonts. All font files are hosted exclusively on our server and loaded directly from there when you visit. No connection is made to Google servers or other third parties.

4. Cookies & Browser Storage

This website does not use tracking cookies for advertising. Only technically necessary settings (language preference, theme selection) are stored in your browser's localStorage. This data does not leave your device and is never transmitted to the server.

5. Reach Measurement with Umami Analytics

For the statistical evaluation of the use of our website, we use the open-source and privacy-friendly analytics tool "Umami". We host the tool ourselves on our own servers in Germany (self-hosted), guaranteeing that no data flows to third parties.

Umami collects metrics such as visited pages, dwell time and the browser used, but explicitly does not use any cookies. The IP address of users is completely anonymized before any storage in the database, making identification of individuals impossible.

Data processing is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in the error-free provision and optimization of our website.

6. No Data Sharing with Third Parties

Your data will not be passed on to third parties unless we are legally obliged to do so or you have given your explicit consent.

7. Your Rights

You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and objection (Art. 21). To exercise your rights, please contact the email address above.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority. In NRW: LDI NRW (ldi.nrw.de).
